On July 20, 2024, commemorating the 77th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2024), Ho Chi Minh City Open University visited the Martyrs’ Cemetery Hill 82 in Tay Ninh province, Viet Nam

The delegation of Ho Chi Minh City Open University visited the Martyrs’ Cemetery Hill 82 in Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh province.

Ho Chi Minh City Open University delegation includes Dr. Do Sa Ky - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Xuan Truong - Vice President; along with the University's Veterans Association, Youth Union, and Student Association. In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense in front of the Martyrs' Memorial of the Education Sector and observed a minute of silence to commemorate and express gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the development of the education sector and for the independence and freedom of the country.

Martyrs’ Cemetery Hill 82 is known to be the resting place of more than 14,000 martyrs who heroically sacrificed while fighting against foreign invaders to protect the country and fulfilling their noble duties in Cambodia. 

The visit to Martyrs’ Cemetery Hill 82 is a practical and meaningful activity to promote the tradition of "Remembering the source when drinking water", while expressing deep gratitude and respect to the heroic martyrs.
