Aiming to support students in their studies and expand career opportunities, especially in the field of psychology, Ho Chi Minh City Open University signed cooperation agreements with three psychology firms on the afternoon of August 27, 2024. These firms include: Rong Viet International Education and Training Investment Joint Stock Company,Health and Education Hub ACC Joint Stock Company (HUBSAIGON), and Hanh Phuc Education and Training Consulting Company Limited.

Attending the ceremony on behalf of Ho Chi Minh City Open University were: Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang, Vice President; and Ms. Lam Thi Anh Quyen, Deputy Head of the Sociology, Social Work, and Southeast Asia Department.Representing the businesses were: Ms. Tran Thi Oanh Kieu, Director of Human Resources at Rong Viet International Education and Training Investment Joint Stock Company; Mr. Nguyen Tan Huy, General Director of Health and Education Hub ACC Joint Stock Company (HubSaigon); and Mr. Tran Duy Hoa, Director of Hanh Phuc Education and Training Consulting Company Limited. Also present were students, staff, and employees from various units.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, shared: "Ho Chi Minh City Open University is a public university offering multi-disciplinary and multi-level training. Among them, the psychology major, although still young, always focuses on and improves student quality. I hope that in the coming time, along with the cooperation to improve the quality of training programs in line with practical work, businesses will collaborate with the University to organize many seminars and workshops in the field of psychology. At the same time, they will accept students for internships or employment to develop their professional expertise and enhance their competitiveness in the labor market."

Within the framework of the program, the Sociology, Social Work, and Southeast Asia Department organized a workshop on the topic "Organizing professional practice and internships to meet the standards of output, job positions, and training orientation for the psychology major at Ho Chi Minh City Open University," receiving many practical opinions and suggestions from businesses, lecturers, and experts in the field of psychology.
