Ho Chi Minh City Open University Welcomes Delegation from Chinese Online Academy iHatoo

On the morning of August 25, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Open University had the honor of welcoming a delegation from the Chinese Online Academy iHatoo. This was a significant opportunity for both sides to seek new directions for cooperation and expand learning and career opportunities for students majoring in the Chinese language.

Attending the meeting, on behalf of Ho Chi Minh City Open University was Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha, President of the University. Representing the Chinese Online Academy iHatoo was Mr. Chu Man, President; along with the presence of leaders from various units.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha, President of the University, said: "Established in 1990, the University's Foreign Language Department has affirmed its position with a high-quality Chinese language training program. Students are not only equipped with in-depth knowledge of the language but also participate in extracurricular activities such as Chinese clubs and academic activities such as scientific research. With a team of experienced lecturers and a dynamic learning environment, the Foreign Language Department has gradually become an ideal destination for those who are passionate and want to develop themselves in this field."

A representative from the Chinese Online Academy iHatoo shared, since 2018, the Chinese Online Academy iHatoo has become an important bridge, supporting the Academy of Social Sciences in providing in-depth training in Chinese language and culture for many lecturers and students. It is known that Ho Chi Minh City Open University is one of the prestigious universities in Vietnam and is also a unit with a focus on developing liberal and progressive education. During this visit to Vietnam, the Chinese Online Academy iHatoo hopes to visit and seek cooperation opportunities with the University.

Through the working session, the two sides had in-depth discussions about training programs, explored cooperation opportunities, student and lecturer exchanges, and the development of Chinese language research and teaching at the University. Hopefully, in the future, the University and the Academy will cooperate successfully, together creating a high-quality workforce for society.
