Children are the future of the country, the seedlings that need to be nurtured and protected to grow into citizens who contribute to society. Caring for and educating children is not only a responsibility but also an investment in the future of the nation.
In recent times, Vietnam has achieved many positive results in child care and protection. However, despite these achievements, many children still face difficult circumstances, lack of resources, and limited access to education, healthcare, and basic living conditions. To address this issue, it requires not only the responsibility of all levels and sectors but also the joint efforts of the entire society.
In this context, to enhance the capacity of social workers, young lecturers, and social work students, on the morning of August 14, 2024, at Hall 602, 97 Vo Van Tan Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, in collaboration with The Capacity Building and Support Center for Women and Children, the Ho Chi Minh City Professional Social Work Club, with the financial support of Wallonie-Bruxelles International, the Wallonie Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam, and the Dynamo International organization, organized a scientific seminar entitled "Social work with children in difficult circumstances and street situations: From international experience to Vietnamese reality".
