On the morning of October 9, 2024, at Room 104, 35-37 Ho Hao Hon, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City Open University (HCMCOU) warmly welcomed the working delegation from the College of Foreign Economics Relations. The purpose of the meeting was to exchange experiences in education, scientific research, to discuss potential cooperation opportunities and the development of training programs.

Attending from Ho Chi Minh City Open University were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President; Dr. Phan Thi Ngoc Thanh – Vice Chair of the University Council; and Dr. Le Xuan Truong – Vice President. From the College of Foreign Economics Relations, the meeting was attended by Dr. Le Ngoc Trung – President, along with leaders and staff from both institutions.
In his speech at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President of HCMCOU, shared that the university currently offers a wide range of flexible training programs, including standard, distance learning, part-time, and E-learning, catering to the diverse learning needs of learners from all backgrounds. The university's second-degree and transfer programs are particularly suited for college learners and those seeking to advance their qualifications. Moreover, this occasion opens up job opportunities for lecturers from both institutions through guest lecturing opportunities.

Dr. Le Ngoc Trung - President of the College of Foreign Economics Relations, expressed his pleasure at the shared vision between the two institutions, making it easier to foster a long-term cooperative relationship. He hoped that in the future, the two institutions would work together to promote a variety of programs, international seminars, scientific research, and other academic activities, contributing to improving training quality and the sustainable development of both parties.

After discussions, both sides agreed on several key cooperation areas, including collaboration in training and learner enrollment in Ho Chi Minh City, joint implementation of training programs in Can Tho, exchange of lecturers in teaching, short-term training in IT and foreign languages, sharing of both online and physical library resources, as well as joint scientific research and the organization of international scientific seminars.
This meeting marks an important stepping stone, paving the way for the official signing of a cooperation agreement in the near future.
