On the morning of October 26th, 2024, at the 602 Hall, 97 Vo Van Tan Campus, Ho Chi Minh City Open University collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, hosted the Final Round of the Science and Technology Award for Young Lecturers in Higher Education Institutions in 2024.
Attending the event were: Dr. Hoang Hoa Cuong - Deputy Head of the Science, Technology, and Environment Department - MOET; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, along with the presence of the chairman, members of the evaluation and award-giving board of the Final Round, as well as lecturers who are candidates for the award, and representatives from universities.
Overview of the event
At the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - President of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, said: "The university is honored to be the host of the Preliminary and Final Rounds of the Science and Technology Award for Young Lecturers in 2024. The award is one of the important activities that demonstrates the concern of Ministries, Departments, and Branches for scientific research and technology transfer, efforts to implement innovation in universities, especially the young workforce."

"Serious research works not only contribute to improving the content, curriculum, and teaching methods but also enhance the quality of training, helping universities affirm their position in the process of international integration. I hope that young lecturers will contribute all their efforts to achieve the expected results and that the councils will work impartially to find the most outstanding and deserving works," Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha added.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Hoang Hoa Cuong - Deputy Head of the Science, Technology, and Environment Department - MOET, shared: "After two times of organization since 2018, the Science and Technology Award for Young Lecturers has attracted the great interest of young lecturers working at universities. After the Preliminary Round, 17 projects from 15 units were selected to present at the Final Round, in the fields of Natural Sciences (02 projects), Engineering and Technology (04 projects), Medicine and Pharmacy (01 project), Agriculture (02 projects), Social Sciences (06 projects), and Humanities (02 projects)."
