On the afternoon of November 25, 2024, at Hall 202, 35-37 Ho Hao Hon Campus, District 1, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, in collaboration with the University's Health Clinic and Saigon International General Clinic, organized a seminar titled “Endoscopy – Gastrointestinal Screening for Reflux Diseases, Stomach Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, and HP Testing Methods”. The program aimed to raise awareness and responsibility among staff, faculty, employees, and students regarding measures to protect and care for their health.

The program featured speaker Dr. Dang Phuong Thinh, a specialist in gastrointestinal endoscopy at Saigon International General Clinic. Representing the University were Dr. Le Xuan Truong – Vice President and Chairman of the University's Trade Union, Mr. Ho Minh Nhien – Vice Chairman of the Trade Union, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao – Secretary of the University's Youth Union, along with faculty, staff, and students of the University.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Le Xuan Truong shared: "Gastrointestinal diseases are becoming increasingly common and affecting younger populations. Therefore, the University organized this seminar to raise awareness about health care and promote measures to protect gastrointestinal health among all staff and students."

Dr. Dang Phuong Thinh provided insightful and easy-to-understand explanations about gastrointestinal diseases, helping participants better understand endoscopy, common gastrointestinal conditions, and health protection measures. The doctor emphasized that the safest and most effective way to prevent gastrointestinal diseases is to adopt lifestyle changes. A healthy lifestyle can eliminate initial factors that negatively impact digestive health.
