On the morning of November 18, 2024 - at Hall 602, Vo Van Tan Campus, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held a ceremony to announce and award the accreditation certification (MOET) for two Master’s degree programs in Chinese Language and Construction Management, as well as three Bachelor’s degree programs in Information Technology, Japanese Language, and Construction Management.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Center for Higher Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam – Director of the Center for Education Accreditation, and Ms. Vo Thi Trong Nhan – Deputy Head of Services and Deputy Chief of Office of the Center for Education Accreditation. From Ho Chi Minh City Open University, the event welcomed Dr. Do Sa Ky – Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the University Council, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President of the University, Dr. Senior Lecturer Le Xuan Truong – Vice President, Dr. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang – Vice President, along with faculty leaders and university staff.

Emphasizing the importance of continuous improvement and quality enhancement in education, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha – President of the University, stated:

"Ho Chi Minh City Open University is committed to constantly improving educational quality to meet national and international standards. The University is honored to have successfully accredited five more training programs under MOET standards, raising the total number of accredited programs recognized by prestigious domestic and international organizations (FIBAA, MOET, AUN-QA) to 36 programs. This achievement is clear evidence of the University’s relentless efforts in improving and enhancing educational quality."

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam, Director of the Center for Higher Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, congratulated Ho Chi Minh City Open University on achieving accreditation for five academic programs.

"These results once again confirm that the University's training programs have successfully met the Ministry of Education and Training's accreditation standards. I hope that in the next phase, the University will continue to build upon its strengths while addressing areas for improvement, ensuring continuous enhancement and development of its academic programs.
