Faculty of Civil Engineering was established in 1992. Up to now, the faculty has been lasting for 28 years of development, with the focuses on orienting strongly both education and research developments. The Faculty strives to be one of the educational sectors that provide construction human resource with high quality; to be a strong faculty in construction research and technology transfer in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern of Vietnam; contribute toward the development of construction industry and the trademark of the Ho Chi Minh City Open University.

At present, the number of academic staffs is 28; including 4 associate professors, 13 doctors, 4 lectures that are doctoral students in the universities at the foreign countries and Vietnam. Our lecturers were graduated from the developed countries, including US, UK, France, Holland, Belgium, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia.

The Faculty offers various programs: undergraduate, master, and doctor, with full-time and part-time education types for undergraduate degree. Currently, the number of students enrolled in the Faculty is about 1700 students, including 1200 full-time students and 500 part-time & distance-learning students.
