With the Message to save and preserve books, this year the Book festival of Ho Chi Minh City Open University continued being organized to confirm the value and the role of books in social life, especially for students. This is an annual activity chaired by Student Affairs Department, in coordination with the Library, Youth Union – Students’ Association, Department of Learning Material and Departments of the University.

The Book festival of school year 2018 – 2019 occurs in two times: The first time was from April 08, 2019 to June 18, 2019; this was the period to complete collection of books and documents. The second time officially occurred from June 17, 2019 to June 19, 2019. The Book festival was paid much attention and was responded strongly by students, in particular, the activities “Book exchange”, “Give books to school as presents”, “Read books on the spot” and “Book introduction, book discount”, etc. In addition, there were many kinds of books to be donated and used during the festival. Through the festival, the University hopes to stimulate the spirit and build the reading habit in the student community.
